Three straight complete games? Has anyone checked to make sure he isn't really a robot? I'm judging this based purely off of my own thoughts, not stats or anything of the sort. But I recall seeing that when the Crew acquired CC, that he would be good for "plus 2-4" additional wins for the Brewers down the stretch and all Brewers fans seemed just fine with that. Even overjoyed when you consider how many games they lost the division a season ago.
But after three straight complete games (read, no bullpen arms needed, read more, bullpen arms can rest) could he equate to even more than that? It's a calculated risk when a Mota and Gagne enter a game and I have to think that by not only keeping guys them from pitching, plus the rest he allows Torres, Shouse, Villy, etc., it allows all of them to be sharp. More sharp than they would be if the Crew didn't have CC, meaning better outings and less blown games in the late innings.
Food for thought. And it's delicious food at that.
