The Brewers absolutely own the Cardinals this year, especially away from home. I'm convinced Tony LaRusa made a deal with the Devil in order for the Cardinals to win the World Series a few years ago. That deal, you win the World Series, but at the cost of becoming Ned Yost's personal whipping boy. Apparently Tony took the deal.
The Brewers are 10-4 against the Cardinals this year, 6-2 on the road. Unreal. In fact, the Brewers have won their last 7 against the Cardinals. If thats not putting the final nails in the casket, I don't know what is.
Did you know, the Brewers have scored 68 runs against the Cards this year? Care to venture a guess as to how many of those have come after the sixth inning? 32, or roughly half. Yeah, that Cardinals bullpen is awful. Tonight was no different, as the Brewers erupted for nine after the sixth, with seven coming in the ninth.
But of all the Brewers, one has truly dominated the Cardinals this season, that Brewer...Ryan Braun.
Brauny is just mashing against the Cardinals, batting .544 with 7 homers and 13 RBI in 13 games against the (d)red(ful) birds this season. Why are they even pitching to him?
Just as you can look at the Cubs and say they are a better team than the Brewers and should win the division, you can look to the Brewers and say they're a far, far better team than St. Louis and should win the wild card. Only, the gap between the Brewers and Cubs is much smaller than the gap between the Brewers and Cardinals.
Rest in Peace Cardinals, we just collectively ended your season.

I was unaware St. Louis had a brewery.
