Matt Cain rumors

There's starting to be more and more talk of the offseason around these parts for rather obvious reasons as the Brewers try their best to finish third or fourth in the wild card chase. The Prince Fielder to the Giants for Matt Cain started as little more than just fan speculation, but now there have been some reports from dailies that are tossing J.J. Hardy into the mix for this deal too.

Both Prince and J.J. for Cain? Seems like an awful steep price to pay and the team would be giving up its two most established young guns. Corey Hart has morphed into an unproductive d'bag and Dick Weeks is just that, Dick Weeks. I understand moving either Prince (preferred) or J.J. to patch up the starting rotation once CC and Sheets are no longer on the team. But trading both would blow a hole into the team.
