DeMarcus Ware lobbying for NFL to let Cowboys play Jets in week 17

DeMarcus Ware had another sack last night vs. Baltimore when the Cowboys defense wasn't giving up 75-yard plus touchdown runs. The sack gives him 20 on the season, 2.5 behind Michael Strahan's NFL single season record of 22.5, set in the 2001 season.

The problem is that the Cowboys play the Eagles in Philly next week and Ware REALLY needs to play the ole gunslinger in order to break the record. But Favre is hosting the Dolphins. Ware has contacted Michael Strahan asking how he successfully lobbied Favre into purposely lying down, gift-wrapping the sacks record for him.

The Christmas season had already passed when Favre let Strahan into the record books on Jan. 6, 2002, so it seems Ware has a very legit shot to tap into the ole gunslingers holiday spirit and have him flop to the turf in front of him 3 times.

But the schedule is working against Ware. Good luck to you DeMarcus, if you can get the league offices or get Rachel Nichols to rework the schedule in the next week, you'll finish at the top of the mountain!
