The Brewers traded Jason Tyner to the Detroit Tigers earlier today, apparently...for nothing.
Tyner was simply assigned to Detroit's AAA organization, Toledo.
Reminds me of when you'd move out of your college house/apartment and didn't want to actually move stuff (I was king at this), so you'd either give it out or just put it outside the place with a "FREE" sign on it.
Now, Tyner is a career minor leaguer, and would really only see time in Milwaukee this year if Ryan Braun, Corey Hart, Mike Cameron, Tony Gwynn, Brendan Katin, Jason Bourgeois and Cole Gillespie (who took his spot in Nashville) were all to come down with severe injuries, but still the move is a little puzzling.
My only problem with it is this, you're gonna tell me we gave a player away for nothing, and it wasn't Jorge Julio?
